Bio

Adriana Aurazo advises national and international companies, organizations and the Peruvian Central Government in Environmental, Mining, Electricity, Gas, and Hydrocarbons Law, as well as in the areas of ​​Climate Change, Social Responsibility and Integrated Management Systems.

Adriana has been Director General of the General Direction of Environmental Mining Affairs and Regulatory Environmental Director of the Ministry of Energy and Mines; and has founded and developed the environmental law boutiques RamaClara and EcoFirma.

Her experience includes the development of environmental laws and regulations applicable to mining and environmental law in Peru and the countries of the Pacific Alliance (Mexico, Colombian, Ecuador and Chile).

During the past 7 years, Adriana has been qualified as one of the country’s most prestigious lawyers by Chambers & Partners, which states that “her clients feel that she knows the environmental legislation from the inside, and is proactive finding solutions that help their businesses”. The professional prestige of Adriana is also frequently recognized by Who’s Who Legal, Latin Lawyers and Who’s Who Continental.

  • Adriana represented Peru in the mining section of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), held in Ha Noi, Vietnam, where she presented technical and legislative progress on reclamation plans. (2017)
  • Advised Institutes and Collegues (InCan) (Canada) on Environmental Sustainability (Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) within the framework of the Project “Sustainable Development and Skills for the Extractive Sector in the Pacific Alliance”. (2017)
